We are conducting detailed research into the origins of the Gardesani family, in some documents with the spelling gardezani, from Italy to the present day.
So far, we have identified a family nucleus that moved from the Commune of Magnacavallo, Province of Mantua, in Lombardy. A group of Gardesani came to Brazil in 1878, leaving the port of Genoa and disembarking at the Port of Santos as their final destination. From there, they went to the Hospedaria dos Imigrantes and then to the city of Santo André. We will soon be publishing the first official lists with the names of the Gardesani who were born in Magnacavallo. The information was personally researched in the records of the Commune.
We are interested in establishing contact with all the Gardesani who exist, whether they are in Brazil, Italy or any other country in the world, because we have a lot of evidence that we are a single family.
